Student artwork was celebrated at the 3rd annual MVUSD Art Show on Saturday. Each visual art teacher in the district was encouraged to submit their student’s work for the show.
The 57th Annual Riverside Press Enterprise Riverside County High School Art Show is currently on display at The Riverside Art Museum in downtown Riverside. It is the county’s longest running art show and a tradition that highlights the creativity, vision, and skill demonstrated by student artists.

Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our congressional district.
On March 12, 2019, over two hundred Theatre students, theatre educators, friends and administrators from many schools in California gathered at the state capitol to meet with legislators and legislative aides. An annual event since 1998, over five thousand students and teachers have participated in this statewide event. Prize-winning Theatre students were invited to perform during the 21st Annual California Youth in Theatre Day. Students were given the opportunity to perform monologues, songs, dances and scenes on the Capitol grounds. Each school and student performer received certificates from California Educational Theatre Association declaring their EXCELLENCE IN THEATRE.
On March 15, 2019, over one hundred Theatre students from surrounding high schools participated in CSUSB high school theatre festival. The festival has students present monologues and scenes to professors from the university in hopes of receiving a placement.
